SoOoOoOo Original

Remember that time I read a Gary V book and was like “hey, I should start a website/blog and write a bunch of trendy stuff because that’s exactly what you’re supposed to do to be successful?” It totally worked!

Not to brag or anything, but there have been at least two people on my site in the last year. And I haven’t even told my mom about this, so I’m pretty confident that she’s not one of the two individuals whose lives were forever changed after reading my forced attempts at making something genuine.

However, I feel like I need to put myself out there more, or at least have something fun to work on. I will say that some cool stuff has happened in the last year:

  • I got promoted at my day job
  • I had my biggest eBay year revenue-wise
  • I went to Disney World
  • I had a session with a medium for the first time
  • I had multiple sessions with a large (at Chick-fil-A)

Despite those crowning achievements, I feel like I can be doing more, and I’ve been looking for new outlets. I want to find something that I can do and have fun with, not something that I start working at with the expectation of getting success in return (like money or swaggalicious street cred).

I’m confident that you’ll end up disappointed and unfulfilled if the foundation of your project is all about the long-term return. Does this work? To literally say “swaggalicious street cred” like 20 words ago then try to be all insightful? Or was the “swaggalicious street cred” the true insight all along?

I guess you’ll just have to stay tuned to find out.

justtheflip is all business. Funny business that is.
